He was also involved in local politics with the Social Democratic Party. He was Frank T. He stayed in office as a Premier until late 1964, when Kaiser gained again the support of the Parliament, forcing it to pass a by-law that prohibited Chen to have his business as well as being a Premier. He continued straight on with his graduate studies, but he was also involved in politics with the NDP, being elected as MP for Diacria in 1939. When the liberals came in to power, he served as Secretary of External Affairs in Peter van Karstens' government. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 for his work in establishing the peacekeeping operation in the Suez crisis of 1957, a  concept of his suggestion in the UN. When Peter van Karstens was assassinated, he became Premier of the Dominion, but opted to become Diacria's Prime Minister when the Federation of Diacria was established on 28 March 1960. In 1946 Mallow was again Premier and won the 1951 elections as well. SPR voted to re-join Pharos in 1949 as a federal province, a decision which is considered as a personal achievement of Mallow. He died the day of his 80th birthday at home in Deltalene after a cerebral hemorrhage.

CENTRON PALVER

Centron Palver (15/4/1874 - 21/6/1950) was a Pharos Premier (1930-32 and 1933-39). He was born in Victoria,CON and studied Political Science at Telford College. His father Ankor was Victoria Mayor. He was elected in Pharos Parliament at the age of 28 with the Social Democrats and was Minister for Education in Henrik Bruijn's governments. In 1929 he was elected General Secretary of the Socialdemocrats and became Pharos Premier in 1930, head of a minority government. His economic policy focused mainly on keeping a balanced budget for government spending and income. After a small brief (1932-33) he was reelected Premier in 1933, after the Social Democratic Party won a majority in the Parliament. He stayed in power until 1939. During his time Columbia, Diceland and Centralia left the Dominion. Even though he faced acute economic problems due to the Great Depression and even stronger political issues with the division of the island, he always had the support of the people due to his moderate character.

He became involved in the Pharonian Socialist Movement and became General Secretary of Social Democratic Party. He formed a minority government after a victory in 1925 elections, but lost support of the Parliament because of the trade tariffs issue as well as a liquor smuggling scandal. When his request that parliament be dissolved was rejected by the Crown, he was forced to resign in 1926, but was re-appointed after his party won the election later that year. As the Great Depression hit Pharos, he resigned from the Government and the Party. His daughter Nerina was the wife of Horber Mallow.

JAN VEISS

Jan Veiss (13/1/1864 - 30/8/1942) was a Pharonian politician and 4 times Premier of the Dominion, serving almost 14 years. He was born in St.Michiel,AUR and studied Economics at the South Aurora University College (SAUC). He was involved in politics from an early age as a member of the Auroran National Democratic Party. He was a member of the Pharos parliament in 1890 and became an NP leader in 1915, after Salvor Hardin's resignation. As a wartime Premier he imposed several unpopular measures, such as war taxes and the Military Service Act (conscription). He also co-signed the Anglo-Hinji Act recognizing the Hinji Independence after a bloody Hinji Autumn Rising. SPR was also handed over as a semi-American controlled region, after an agreement made during the war between USA and Britain. NP and Veiss lost the 1925 elections to the Social Democrats, but was again appointed Premier in 1926 for a short period of 3 months, after the Crown turned down Bruijn's trade tariff's legislation. In an unstable period for the politics in the island, he served 2 more times as Premier (1929-1930 and 1932-33). The Free State of Columbia also left the Dominion during his days.

SALVOR HARDIN

Salvor Hardin (27/7/1848 - 8/4/1926) was a Pharonian politician and Premier of the Dominion (1907-1915). He was born in Charrington,DIC and his father Peter was a baron. Hardin first studied Law, but then went abroad to study Political Science in London. He came back to Pharos and was involved in politics with the National Party (NDP), becoming its President in 1890. He gained a landslide majority in 1892 elections, but opted wisely to confirm Sheldon as head of the government, accepting his terms that the choice of ministers would be his exclusive prerogative. He won 3 more elections (1897, 1902 and 1905) with Sheldon as the Premier and himself as vice-Premier. He had great admiration for Sheldon and his ideas and he was considered as Sheldon's right hand, a friend and his appointed successor. He became Premier after Sheldon's death in 1907 and won 2 more elections (1908 and 1913) but stepped down in 1915 due to bad health (he suffered from chronic asthma). He opposed conscription and criticized Jan Veiss but his health worsened and he lost his party influence.

HARRY SHELDON

Harry Sheldon (26/9/1826 - 20/10/1907) was Pharos' Premier (1879-1907) and is considered the father of the Nation by modern-day historians. He made a brief 7-year stint in the Pharonian Navy, but resigned to follow an Academic career. He published books on Political Analysis and Psychohistory and was a member of the ASO since 1862, but twice refused to take the Ers Orator position. He was also an accomplished pianist and painter and had often been called to advise the Parliament and the government; although his advice was often not heeded, it was received very favorably by public commentators and the public at large. On the secret advice of the ASO, Queen Victoria asked Harry Sheldon, to form the new government in 1879, although he was not a member of Parliament. Sheldon's government was unique in the sense that it did not derive from any particular party nor did it seek public approval in elections. He charted a course between rival views in the Parliament, addressing his concerns and views to the deputies and the people of Pharos alike. During his premiership he set the basis for economic growth, social and political reforms as well as established the conditions for the Pharonian unification. He was never a member of any political party, but ruled as premier for more than 25 years thanks to the support of his close friend Salvor Hardin, leader of the National Party.
