GENAR JANK

GENAR JANK

Genar Jank (19/2/1681 - 20/1/1751) was an ASO Ers Orator. He was born in Charrington and his father was a captain in the Navy, serving under Admiral Edi Haak. During his tenure the War of Austrian Succession broke out in Europe and the Pharonian navy was heavily involved. When Mandras was occupied by the French in 1747, Jank and the entire ASO worked as to help the British Navy to recapture it in 1748, since they considered it would be to the island's benefit to remain solely under British sovereignty.
