Jan Balmer (b 11/8/1918) was a professional footballer. He started his career with his home town Metalx Sacralia. He served and fought with the Army in WW II. After his return he joined Chiftelov Sport, forming the front line alongside Brooks Lindel and Albi Stabbins, known then as ' the trio magnificent'. He helped Chiftelov Sport win the 1946 championship, scoring 12 goals. He died on Christmas day 1984 at the age of 66.
