Kleon Koneski (20/6/1731 - 15/7/1801) was a Lyg politician and Premier of the Dominion from 1776 to 1782. He was born in Corel and was raised by his uncle Aron Kaye, his mother's brother, since his father died when he was one year old. He followed his uncle's business, trading with the America's, mainly fur. In 1764 he became an MP for Corel. A strong supporter of the American Revolutionary War, he gained great popularity in Pharos and inside the Lyg Party. He had excellent relations with the revolutionaries and was key negotiator for the return of many Pharonian trade ships that had been captured by the Americans during the War. In the 1776 elections Lyg won by a landslide and King George III appointed him new Premier, despite his original reluctancy to do so (he would preferred someone less pro-American, but the popularity of Koneski was very high among Lyg members that would have not accepted any other candidate). During his Premiership he was involved in the trial of Admiral Augustus Knapp, a Pharonian war hero of the recent wars, which led to a great controversy and to the resignation of Knapp. Another problem faced by his government was the vast immigration from the Americas and other places, due to the war. Most of them were relocated in the northern part of the Hinji area, that would be part of Columbia later on. Koneski did not run for the 1782 elections and decided to return to his trade business. He was married to Frania Nikor and had 9 children together.
