Samuel Lan (31/10/1928 - 20/6/2008) was born in Lys,DIA. He attended Satemberg University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in history. He then attended Lys Institute of Psychohistory receiving a Masters and a PhD. He was elected into the ASO in 1978 and succeeded Preeme Palver as Ers Orator in 1983 until 2008. He wrote 16 books on Psychohistory and is regarded as the best theoretician after Harry Sheldon. During his leadership, the ASO was established as one of the pillars of Pharonian politics.
