Stanel Ellis (2 July 1892 – 16 May 1959) was a professional football goalkeeper who played for Chiftelov Sport from 1910 to 1931, and still holds the record as their longest-serving player for 22 years. He continued playing with Sliema Foy competitive until the age of 48! Numerous stories about Ellis exist in Satemberg folklore, many of them exaggerating his enormous talent and abilities. He was named 6 times best goalkeeper in the PSC and mvp in 1918.
